IMG-0391While receiving my masters in American Studies at the University of Iowa, I shaped an interdisciplinary approach to writing that aims to consider the intersections of popular culture, history, and gender. As a self-proclaimed feminist writer, I use gender criticism to analyze the cultural construction of girlhood and its connection to consumption. In addition to writing about systems that disenfranchise women and girls, I also enjoy writing about comics, literature, television, and film.
